Scanmora
Privacy policy
Scan, recognize text and use a document assistant on your device. No account or document upload.
Effective date:
01Operator and scope
Scanmora is an iPhone and iPad document app operated by Tran Minh Tien. This policy covers scanning, OCR, PDF tools, the document library and the bundled local AI assistant. Privacy and support contact: trachanhtv.works@gmail.com. Visiting this policy website is covered by the separate TrioX website privacy policy.
02Data processed on your device
Scanmora stores camera images, imported documents, generated PDFs, thumbnails, OCR text, document titles, tags and library records in the app’s private device storage. Settings are stored locally. Documents and questions are processed to carry out the tools you select. The developer does not receive these files or questions automatically. There is no app account, remote document server, advertising SDK, tracking SDK or automatic analytics upload in the current app. We do not sell your data or track activity across apps and websites.
03Local AI assistant
The bundled Qwen2.5 model runs on your device through the local inference engine. It uses selected excerpts from the document you open and the question you enter; it does not upload them to an AI provider or search other documents in your library. Each question starts a fresh model context, and closing the assistant cancels its work. Generated answers can be incomplete or incorrect; verify them against the original document before relying on them.
05Permissions and your control
Camera access is optional and used when you scan. Importing through system file and photo pickers gives the app the items you select. The optional app lock asks iOS to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode; Scanmora does not receive or store your biometric templates. You can revoke camera and other permissions in iOS Settings and change the app lock in Scanmora settings. You can continue using tools that do not require the denied permission.
06Storage protection
Document files use complete iOS Data Protection. The optional device authentication lock protects access to the interface, and the app obscures its content in the app switcher. These measures rely on your device security and are not a separately encrypted cloud vault or end-to-end encrypted service. Keep your operating system current and secure your device and backup accounts. No storage system can guarantee absolute security.
07Retention and permanent deletion
Documents remain in your local library until you delete them. Moving a document to Trash makes it recoverable; confirm permanent deletion in Trash to remove it from the active library and local recovery index. Temporary working and sharing files are cleaned after normal completion or on the next launch. Removing the app removes its local container, subject to iOS behavior. Permanent deletion inside Scanmora does not erase older device backups, Files copies or documents already exported to another app. Manage those copies through the backup service or receiving application. There is no server account to delete, and the developer cannot recover or remotely erase your local documents.
08Support, children and updates
Scanmora is a general-purpose document tool and is not designed specifically for children. We do not automatically collect documents or personal information from users of any age. Support correspondence is used to answer your request and resolve issues; email us to request access, correction or deletion of correspondence you sent. If a future version changes these practices, we will update this policy and effective date and communicate material changes. Contact Tran Minh Tien at trachanhtv.works@gmail.com.
